The oldest depictions of harps date from 4000 BC in Egypt. Since these times many countries or civilizations have developed different forms, sizes and shapes of harps. Perhaps, Ireland is the most famous country or at least the most renowned place for harps and harpists. In 1862 Guinness started using the harp as their logo and in 1776 registered in London two harps as their corporate logo.
