Hammer and Sickle

Hammer and Sickle Vodka Luge from Passion for Ice

Hammer and Sickle Vodka Luge

Instantly recognizable as the Communist 'logo'.  It represents the rural agricultural workers and the urban industrial workers coming together - a symbolization of Agriculture (the Sickle) and the Urban population (the Hammer) overlapping or joining together.

It was not until 1922 that this became the 'official' Communist party symbol.  Originally it was the Hammer and plough but changed to reflect a more simpler and broader image.  In Ireland the Hammer and Plough are still used today in the Communist party.

For any Russian Ball function or event, this Ice sculpture or Luge will certainly be instantly recognizable and loved by the Party faithful.
